Aleph Project is a platform developed by myself and Daniel Carey to enable artists to curate and share location-based content.
The app allows users to access download points where audio and visual content can be unlocked. Users collect, curate, and share their own galleries on their device.
Initially released to coincide with the North East Late Shows in 2012, the first version of the app showcased artworks from a number of North East galleries and organisations. As users explored the festival sites, artworks and accompanying details were pushed to their devices, both enhancing the experience of the event, and serving as a record of it.
A redeveloped form of the app was used by the Whitley Bay Film Festival 2012, before being commissioned by artist Lawrence Molloy and Creativity Works as part of the Exploring Landscapes Festival in October 2012.
Aleph Project is currently on hiatus whilst we work on other projects.
